The Gables is a very large one bedroom ground floor annexe
attached to our property, with the benefit of your own front
door. Ideal for breaks in rural dorset, we are situated in the
village of Three Legged Cross just 5 miles from the market town
of Ringwood, 8 miles from Wimborne, and Moors Valley Country
Park is only 1 mile away.
The property consists of a very large lounge/dining room housing
suite, dining table and chairs, digital freeview television and
DVD player. The kitchen is in the corner and has electric
cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave and all the plates etc. you
may require.
The large bedroom has recently been updated to contain 2 new
single beds (which can easily be pushed together), wardrobe,
dressing table, bedside tables, lights and clock radio. Please
note this room has enough space for a travel cot to fit into.
There is a separate shower room with WC, basin and instantaneous
electric shower.
There are no meters, Gas and Electricity are included in the
tariff. Bed Linen is also included, but we do not include
personal towels.
There is plenty of off road parking at the rear of the property
for several vehicles, and guests are welcome to use the table
and chairs in the garden. Our visitors frequently see some of
the local wildlife in the garden, many species of birds
including woodpeckers, we have had owl in our owl boxes for the
last few years, foxes, occasional badgers and deer, and we have
a few chickens at the bottom of the garden (no noisy cockerels).
In Three Legged Cross there is a Post Office, Newsagent, Village
Store, Doctors, and a large Garden Centre, all within walking
distance. In the next village of Verwood there is a Morrisons
supermarket, a Tesco at West Moors and a large Sainsburys at
Trickets Cross. Asda is 10 miles away on the outskirts of
Bournemouth, and the Castle Point shopping mall is also about 10
miles away.
The area is rich in facilities which include walking, cycling,
fishing and golfing. There are also pubs, restaurants and
takeaways within easy reach by car.The seaside towns of
Bournemouth and Poole are easily accessible. The New Forest
National Park is a short drive away and Salisbury and
Southampton can be reached in approx. 30 minutes. From Poole day
trips are possible to Guernsey, Jersey and France, or catch the
local boats from Poole Quay to Brownsea Island to see the red
Squirrels. |
